Applied Resource Group seeks a Mechanical Project Manager to own commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout in the Greater Atlanta area. The role emphasizes hands-on management, coordination of schedules and procurement, and strong communication with customers and project stakeholders.

Ideal candidates have 3–6 years in commercial construction, with HVAC/piping/mechanical exposure, and a background in project management or related roles.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of relevant commercial construction experience.
• Backgrounds may include Project Manager, Mechanical Project Manager, Mechanical Project Engineer, Construction Project Manager.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Building Construction, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
• PMP or CCM certifications are beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial construction projects from planning through completion.
• Coordinate project schedules, procurement, material releases, and field requirements.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, project logs, and other construction documentation.
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes, and contract requirements.
• Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and field personnel.
• Manage purchase orders, subcontractor agreements, equipment orders, and material procurement.
• Monitor lead times and identify potential schedule impacts.
• Assist with estimating, budgeting, forecasting, and project cost management.
• Track project progress and address schedule, cost, or field challenges.
• Participate in project meetings and maintain communication with customers and stakeholders.
• Visit active project sites as required.
• Support project closeout and completion activities.
• Develop solutions when challenges arise.
• Drive issues toward resolution rather than escalation.
