Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a field-based General Maintenance Technician to support maintenance across assigned stores. You will respond to tickets, perform preventative maintenance, and educate store leaders on best practices to protect coolers, freezers, and equipment.

You will document work in the CMMS, interact with store managers, district leaders, and external vendors, and travel daily to sites within your geographic area to resolve issues and ensure uptime.

Qualifications

• Must be able to troubleshoot entry-level maintenance issues.
• Proficient with basic computer usage and CMMS documentation.
• Strong communication with store leadership and partners.
• Customer-service oriented with commitment to brand standards.

Responsibilities

• Respond in person to maintenance tickets at Dollar General locations.
• Perform preventative maintenance and basic repairs on equipment.
• Educate store leaders on maintenance best practices.
• Document and communicate work via CMMS and ticketing system.
• Travel to sites within the assigned district and coordinate with leadership.
• Occasional after-hours work based on urgency of repairs.
