Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an on-site HVAC/Controls technician for field-based projects. You will commission, program, and troubleshoot on assigned installations at customer locations, documenting verification steps and ensuring customer satisfaction.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, 3–5 years in HVAC/Controls, and a valid driver’s license. Proficiency with MS Office and handheld devices is expected, with preference for DDC controls knowledge.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• HVAC/Controls experience preferred (3–5 years).
• MS Office proficiency and handheld device usage experience.
• Valid driver's license with clean record for >12 months.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning, programming, setting up graphics, communications link, end-to-end testing, troubleshooting and servicing on assigned projects.
• Document point-to-point verification, sequence of operations validation and job close-out requirements.
• Serve as direct customer contact; service products and equipment on-site, ensuring customer satisfaction by diagnosing and repairing equipment/systems.
• Coordinate with team leader and customer to understand requirements for on-site installation and repairs, forecasting issues and coordinating materials.
