Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a field-based technician to commission, program, and set up graphics and communications links for on-site projects. You will perform end-to-end testing, troubleshoot issues, and service equipment at customer locations, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.

The role requires 7+ years in HVAC/Controls, a high school diploma or technical training, proficiency with MS Office and handheld devices, and a valid driver’s license with a clean record.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent or technical school certificate required.
• At least 7 years of HVAC/Controls experience.
• Technical school training preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and handheld devices (smartphone/tablet).
• Valid driver’s license for 12+ months with clean record in past 3 years.
• Experience with DDC controls systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Commissioning, programming, graphics setup, communications link, end-to-end testing, troubleshooting and on-site servicing on assigned projects.
• Document point-to-point verification and sequence of operations validation with proper job close-out.
• Represent the company as the direct customer contact and service equipment at customer locations to ensure satisfaction.
• Coordinate with team leader and customer to understand requirements for on-site installation and repairs.
• Stay current on Trane products related to installation, operation, maintenance and repair of direct digital control systems.
• Maintain safety standards and track company assets used on-site.
