Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Field-based HVAC/Controls technician to commission, program, and service systems on customer sites. You will document verifications, coordinate with customers, and ensure quality installations and repairs.

role requires 3–5 years of HVAC/Controls experience, a valid driver’s license, and proficiency with MS Office and handheld devices. Benefits include day-one health and 401(k) matching; travel and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; 3–5 years in HVAC/Controls preferred.
• Technical school or formal training preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and handheld devices (smartphone, iPad).
• Valid driver’s license for 12+ months with clean record in last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Commission, program, and set up graphics and communications on projects.
• Document verification, sequence of operations, and job close-out requirements.
• Serve as direct customer contact and service equipment on site; diagnose and repair.
• Coordinate with team leader and customer to understand requirements for on-site installation and repairs.
• Stay current on Trane products related to DDC controls; emphasize safety and asset security.
