Job summary

Custom Flavors is seeking a field-based Account Manager to expand customer relationships across Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, and Wyoming. You will be the primary commercial contact for the region, collaborating with our R&D and Applications teams in San Clemente to bring flavors to market.

Candidates must reside within the territory; Salt Lake City area strongly preferred. This remote, field-based role reports to the President and requires travel up to 40%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration/Marketing or related field.
• 3+ years of B2B sales experience in specialty foods, flavors, or related food/beverage ingredients.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all customer accounts within the assigned territory.
• Build, maintain, and develop strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and supply agreements within company guidelines to achieve revenue targets.
• Develop new business with existing customers by identifying new project opportunities and expanding product adoption.
• Identify and pursue new customer accounts within the territory with coordination from Business Development.
• Develop sales forecasts and track key account metrics (pipeline, quarterly results, annual forecasts).
• Resolve customer requests and escalations in coordination with Customer Service and QA.
• Maintain accurate records of customer contacts, opportunities, and activities in the CRM system.
• Conduct in-person sales calls at customer and prospect locations; represent Custom Flavors at events.
• Maintain knowledge of products and applications to support technical sales conversations.
• Communicate project requirements to internal teams and track projects through submission to commercialization.
• Ensure commitments to customers align with capabilities and SOPs.
• Additional duties as assigned.
