Job summary

Rusty Lantern Markets is seeking a hands-on Food & Beverage Trainer to train, coach, certify, and develop our Food & Beverage teams across locations. This field-based role involves extensive travel and direct collaboration with employees and managers in active kitchen environments.

The trainer will support onboarding, ongoing skills development, certification, and the growth of future Food & Beverage leaders, ensuring operations meet quality, safety, and financial targets.

Qualifications

• Experience training and developing foodservice teams.
• Knowledge of recipes, portion control, inventory, and food cost.
• Strong communication and coaching abilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
• Hands-on teaching approach with demonstrations and feedback.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on training and certification for Food & Beverage team members and leaders.
• Coach teams on food quality, recipes, portion control, production planning, food safety, and standards.
• Reinforce waste, shrink, receiving, inventory, and food cost practices.
• Help managers understand how daily decisions impact sales, margin, labor, waste, and profitability.
• Coach teams on product knowledge, suggestive selling, sampling, and customer engagement.
