Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking an MEP Assistant Superintendent to oversee daily site operations, coordinate materials and manpower, and supervise direct labor on a multi-phase project. You will work with the Project Manager to develop schedules, review design requirements, and ensure safety, quality, and timely communication with subs and clients.

The role requires a engineering/construction degree and at least two years on commercial projects, with CMiC experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction-related field with at least 2 years of commercial construction experience in a Mission Critical environment
• Demonstrated knowledge of construction processes
• Has a valid driver's license and can travel to project sites
• Reads blueprints accurately and understands codes and design requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; basic Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

• Champions Layton Way by delivering predictable outcomes for internal and external teams and customers
• Manages procurement of tools and materials to meet schedules
• Coordinates pre-construction meetings and develops look-ahead schedules
• Inspects work for conformity to specifications and schedules
• Moves personnel between projects to optimize labor costs and staffing
• Ensures safety and quality policies are applied consistently
• Maintains progress reports and communicates with clients and subs
