Job summary

The Sunshine House Education Coach role is a field-based position within our Education Team. You will observe, model, and guide teachers to implement developmentally appropriate practice, routines, and responsive interactions across multiple centers.

You will travel regularly within a geographic cluster, collaborate with center leaders, and provide reflective coaching, training, and resource connections to strengthen classroom practice and family engagement.

Qualifications

• Meets lead teacher qualifications in the applicable state(s) of assignment.
• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field preferred; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum three years of successful experience in an early childhood education setting in lead roles or equivalent; five years preferred.
• Experience mentoring adults and supporting peer learning is strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting multiple classrooms or locations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build collaborative coaching relationships with teachers and center leaders to support reflection and growth.
• Observe classroom practice and routines using company tools to identify coaching goals.
• Provide job-embedded support through modeling, practice, and feedback.
• Help teachers use curriculum, planning tools, and portfolios with confidence and consistency.
• Partner with center leadership to align coaching priorities and communicate progress.
• Maintain accurate electronic documentation of observations, goals, and outcomes.
• Manage a cluster-based schedule balancing center priorities and travel requirements.
• Participate in onboarding, professional development, and Education initiatives.
