Job summary

The Sunshine House is seeking an Early Childhood Education Coach to work field‑based with our Education Team, strengthening daily classroom practice through observation, modeling, and collaborative goal setting. You will travel within a geographic cluster to support multiple centers and partners with teachers and leaders to implement developmentally appropriate experiences.

Ideal candidates bring strong knowledge of child development, adult learning facilitation, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practice across infancy to pre-K.
• Ability to observe, identify priorities, and translate feedback into practical strategies.
• Ability to support adult learning through listening, questioning, modeling, and goal setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with professional follow-through.
• Comfort with Microsoft 365, video conferencing, and digital tools.
• Willingness to travel regularly within assigned cluster and occasionally to other markets.

Responsibilities

• Build collaborative coaching relationships with teachers and center leaders to support growth.
• Observe classroom practice and curriculum implementation using approved tools.
• Identify focused coaching goals from observations and teacher input.
• Provide job-embedded support through modeling, practice, and feedback.
• Help teachers use curriculum, planning tools, observations, portfolios, and family resources.
• Coordinate with center leadership to align coaching priorities and progress.
• Maintain accurate electronic documentation of observations, goals, steps, and outcomes.
• Manage a cluster-based schedule balancing centers, travel, and follow-ups.
• Participate in onboarding, professional development, and Education initiatives.
• Share resources across Education Team and provide cross-cluster support as needed.
• Use data to celebrate progress and inform support strategies.
• Follow safety, confidentiality, travel, purchasing, and financial policies.
