Job summary

The Sunshine House is seeking an Early Childhood Education Coach to strengthen classroom practice across a geographic cluster. You will observe, model, and provide feedback to teachers and center leaders, turning knowledge into consistent student-centered routines and high-quality interactions.

Ideal candidates will have strong development knowledge, experience mentoring adults, and a proven ability to manage multiple centers and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of successful early childhood education experience as a lead teacher or equivalent.
• Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Lead teacher qualifications per state assignment.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within assigned cluster.
• Experience mentoring adults and leading practice change preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build collaborative coaching relationships with teachers and center leaders.
• Observe classroom practice and curriculum implementation using approved tools.
• Identify focused coaching goals from observation evidence.
• Provide job-embedded support through modeling, practice, reflective conversation, and feedback.
• Help teachers use curriculum, planning tools, schedules, and family resources with confidence.
• Partner with center leadership to align coaching priorities and document progress.
• Maintain electronic documentation of observations, coaching goals, and outcomes.
• Manage a cluster-based coaching schedule balancing priorities and travel.
• Participate in onboarding, professional development, Education initiatives, and trainings.
• Collaborate with Education Team for cross-cluster support when needed.
• Use coaching trends and data to celebrate progress and inform support strategies.
• Follow safety, confidentiality, travel, purchasing, and financial policies.
