Job summary

Stocks General Contractors LLC is seeking a dedicated Safety Officer to support safety across underground utility and civil construction projects. This role is critical to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment, with a focus on enforcing safety standards and reducing risk on active job sites.

You will work closely with field teams, lead safety meetings, conduct inspections, and maintain records to ensure OSHA compliance and a culture of accountability.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction safety, preferably in civil or underground utility work.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and safety regulations.
• Familiarity with trenching, excavation, and confined space safety.

Responsibilities

• Monitor job site activities to ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
• Conduct safety inspections, audits, and job site evaluations.
• Lead safety meetings and provide training to field employees.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses.
• Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation.
• Identify risks and implement corrective actions.
• Support field leadership in maintaining safe work environments.
• Promote a culture of safety accountability across all teams.
