Job summary

Hatched Recruitment Group is seeking a Safety Manager to lead safety operations across complex underground projects. This hands-on, field-focused role involves managing safety at excavation, trenching, shoring and tunneling sites while collaborating with project management and site teams.

You will own site safety programs, conduct audits, lead hazard analyses, and deliver OSHA-related training. Travel to active sites and coordination with subcontractors are essential aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of safety experience in underground construction.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards (29 CFR 1926).
• Current OSHA 500 certification.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement site-specific safety plans and procedures.
• Conduct jobsite inspections, audits and hazard assessments.
• Lead safety training, toolbox talks and pre-task planning.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain safety records, permits and training documentation.
