Job summary

ERM is seeking a Senior Construction Safety Specialist (Field Based) to provide on-site EHS oversight for a pharma client in Lebanon, IN. You will observe construction activities, ensure OSHA and company standards compliance, and support safety training and documentation across the project team.

This full-time 12-month role emphasizes hazard identification, daily reporting, and collaboration with general contractors and subcontractors to uphold a strong safety culture on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, safety, or occupational health and safety is preferred.
• 15+ years of on-site construction health & safety experience.
• OSHA 30-hour construction, confined space entry, and fall protection training preferred.
• Certification such as CHST, ASP, or CSP is preferred.
• Pharmaceutical or high-tech project experience is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Engage with general contractors and subcontractors as the owner’s representative.
• Promote client’s safety culture across contractor groups.
• Identify hazards and influence safe work practices on site.
• Conduct on-site observations and document EHS performance.
• Train on-site workers and subcontractors on EHS requirements.
• Maintain safety documentation (JHAs, SDSs, toolbox talks).
• Prepare daily site observation reports and support corrective actions with site management.
