Job summary

Environmental Resources Management, Inc. (ERM) is seeking a Construction Safety Manager (Field Based) to provide on-site support for a pharmaceutical client in Philadelphia, PA.

The role is full-time for 12 months with renewal potential, focusing on EHS compliance and safety program oversight on construction activities. The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in construction management or safety, 3+ years of on-site health and safety experience, OSHA 30-hour construction training,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, safety, or related field.
• 3+ years on-site construction health and safety experience.
• OSHA 30-hour construction, confined space entry, and fall protection training completed.
• Pharmaceutical or high-tech project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage with general contractors and subcontractors on behalf of the owner.
• Promote client's safety culture across contractor groups.
• Identify uncontrolled hazards and influence safe work practices.
• On-site observation of construction activities from an EHS perspective.
• Document activities with respect to required EHS performance.
• Train on-site workers on EHS oversight program requirements.
• Train on-site subcontractors on EHS oversight program requirements.
• Support project EH&S personnel with directives.
• Report on compliance with safety procedures and project-specific safety plan.
• Maintain safety-related documentation on site (JHAs, SDSs, training).
• Participate in daily pre-shift coordination meetings and review activities.
