Job summary

City of Austin seeks a Coordinator, Community Services Program to manage field-based outreach, service coordination, and grant-related activities for unhoused residents. You will conduct data collection, prepare reports, and help shape short- and long-range plans while training staff and maintaining compliant procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field plus two years' experience.
• Experience may substitute for education up to four years.

Responsibilities

• Leads community services and outreach initiatives.
• Serves as liaison to City Council, departments, schools, residents, and stakeholders.
• Collaborates with internal and external partners to improve services.
• Arranges staff development and training opportunities.
• Assists in short- and long-range planning and policy development.
• Researches data, analyzes information, and prepares reports with recommendations.
• Responds to inquiries and handles sensitive complaints.
• Identifies grant opportunities and drafts grant applications.
• Reviews legislation and policies to assess impact.
