Job summary

The City of Austin is seeking a Community Services Program Coordinator to bridge the Equity Division with community partners and cross-sector agencies. You will develop partnerships, secure external resources, design responsive programs, and evaluate impact across city initiatives.

You will supervise staff as needed, support training, and inform policy with data-driven reporting. This role requires strong communication and project management within a dynamic public service environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus two years of related experience; substitution allowed by years of experience.
• Ability to train others and lead collaborative efforts.
• Experience with grants, contracts, and program administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate community services and outreach initiatives.
• Advise City Council, departments, residents and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal/external partners to improve services.
• Identify grant opportunities and prepare grant applications.
• Develop and monitor short- and long-range program plans and outcomes.
