Job summary

Legacy Commercial Property is seeking a hands-on Commercial Property Manager to oversee a diversified portfolio of about 55 retail properties across Illinois, Missouri, Kansas and Oklahoma. This field-based role requires significant travel (50-70%), with days in the office from home on non-travel days.

You will build relationships with tenants, coordinate repairs, manage budgets, and support leasing initiatives while ensuring property performance and tenant satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Commercial property management experience required.
• Experience managing retail or mixed-use properties preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial lease terms and property operations.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain positive relationships with tenants and understand their needs.
• Coordinate and manage repairs, maintenance, and capital improvements for each property.
• Manage third-party vendor relationships for maintenance, landscaping, snow removal, and other services.
• Oversee bid process and vendor selection for recurring services, repairs, and improvements.
• Schedule and confirm required inspections and tests; respond to emergencies and municipality requests.
• Assist with leasing opportunities, property tours, and coordination with construction teams.
