Job summary

Two Rivers Cooperative is seeking a Sales Agronomist to serve as a trusted advisor to farmers, delivering tailored agronomic recommendations that drive yield and profitability while building lasting partnerships.

You will understand each operation's challenges, identify new business opportunities to expand the coop's presence, share knowledge of current agronomic practices and technologies, and travel from Pella, IA to meet customers; hours are Mon-Fri with occasional Saturdays during peak

Qualifications

• Associate degree in agronomy or related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of sales strategies and agronomy or crop consulting.
• Ability to walk fields, lift up to 50 pounds, and work extended hours during peak seasons.

Responsibilities

• Assess customer operations to identify gaps in their current product mix and uncover opportunities that maximize their success.
• Build lasting relationships through consistent, year-round engagement with growers.
• Prospect and develop new business in your territory, converting leads to long-term partnerships.
• Share technical expertise, best practices, and agronomy tools that help farmers make informed decisions.
• Recommend tailored solutions that optimize yields, improve ROI, and address complex challenges.
• Stay current on emerging technologies, market trends, and product developments to bring valuable insights to customers.
• Anticipate future customer needs and identify ways to deepen service within your territory.
• Partner with location leadership to develop strategies focused on the right product mix, strong margins, and high-value solutions.
