Job summary

OMNIPLEX World Services Corporation is hiring Contract Investigators for background investigations in the Bowling Green, KY area. These are as-needed roles with no guaranteed hours, requiring the ability to travel within a 35-50 mile radius from the city.

Candidates must be local, US citizens, and able to pass background checks. A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required, with potential duties across the country as needed.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• H.S. Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of specialized Federal Background investigative experience within the last 5 years.
• Must have some FIS Experience.
• Reliable personal vehicle, valid driver's license, and satisfactory driving record.
• Willing to travel on temporary duty assignments as needed (by car or plane).
• Successfully pass background checks and all required training.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions and write reports and business correspondence.
• Proficient with MS Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Current (within the last 2 years) SSBI or active Secret level security clearance based on an SSBI and able to obtain the required security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person, one-on-one subject interviews to obtain factual information.
• Obtain factual information from sources to produce a report of investigation.
• Travel to conduct investigations at employment, residence, and education locations.
• Be willing to travel 30-50 miles (or more) as needed.
• Engage with managers and government representatives to maintain relationships.
• Adapt to changing situations and communicate professionally.
• Handle workload based on case availability in the geographic area.
• Possible voluntary duty assignments across the country.
