Job summary

OMNIPLEX World Services Corporation is seeking Contract Investigators to perform in-person interviews and gather factual information for background investigations across locations in the United States. The role requires travel, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work independently in a home-office setup and in the field.

Contract Investigators work on an as-needed basis with no guaranteed hours, and candidates must be local to Monroe, LA, with the ability to travel regionally.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• H.S. Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 1 year of specialized Federal Background investigative experience within the last 5 years.
• Must have some FIS Experience.
• Willing to travel on temporary duty assignments as needed.
• Successfully pass background checks and all required training.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Current SSBI or active Secret level security clearance based on an SSBI and able to obtain the required security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person, one-on-one subject interviews to obtain factual information about the individual's background and character, per guidelines.
• Obtain factual information from sources to produce an investigation report with pertinent facts.
• Travel to conduct investigations at workplaces, residences, and education institutions as cases are assigned.
• Must be willing to travel 30-50 miles (or more) as needed.
• Engage with managers and agencies to develop cooperative working relationships.
• Demonstrate strong verbal and written communications in all situations.
• Workload varies with case availability.
• Some voluntary TDYs in other areas of the country (2-4 weeks) are possible.
• Other duties as required.
