Job summary

Mason Technologies is seeking an experienced AV/Overhead Paging Systems Service Technician to join our service team. This hands-on role focuses on maintenance and repair of overhead paging and commercial audio systems in hospitals, schools, and large facilities.

The ideal candidate will troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair components including amplifiers, controllers, zone modules, and wiring, with strong knowledge of commercial paging manufacturers.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on commercial AV, audio, paging, or low-voltage service experience
• Hands-on experience with overhead paging and commercial audio systems
• Hospital/healthcare/institutional paging experience preferred
• Experience troubleshooting existing systems
• Familiar with major paging manufacturers (Valcom, Rauland, Dukane, Bogen, AtlasIED, Algo)
• Zone Controllers/Zone Modules
• Ceiling and wall speakers, paging horns, volume controls
• Audio distribution equipment, power supplies
• Analog and IP paging systems
• Trace and troubleshoot low-voltage wiring
• Read and understand audio drawings and schematics
• Understand audio signal flow, impedance, and distributed audio systems
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Independent work and customer-facing communication
• OSHA and SST certifications required
• Reliable personal vehicle
• Willingness to travel Tri-State Area
• Background check and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls for overhead paging and related systems
• Diagnose and troubleshoot paging system failures and audio issues
• Service amplifiers, controllers, zone modules, and power supplies
• Trace, test, and troubleshoot low-voltage audio cabling
• Read audio drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams
• Install/replace paging devices and equipment
• Troubleshoot analog and IP paging systems
• Travel between client sites in the Tri-State Area
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment
• Document service findings and recommendations
