Job summary

Beacon Communications is seeking an experienced Biamp Vocia Systems Technician to support service, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and SMA obligations for large-scale Vocia paging and life-safety systems. The role also covers AV service and SMA support for integrated control and DSP platforms in government environments.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on Biamp Vocia experience, CTS and Vocia certifications, and strong knowledge of Crestron/AMX, QSC Q-SYS, and networking.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on Biamp Vocia experience in government environments.
• Experience with enterprise or government AV systems.
• Working knowledge of Crestron and AMX.
• Familiarity with QSC Q-SYS DSP platforms.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on Biamp Vocia systems per SMA requirements.
• Conduct system health checks, fault log reviews, redundancy verification, and firmware audits.
• Validate paging intelligibility, zone coverage, priority logic, and failover behavior.
• Produce clear SMA reports outlining findings, risks, and recommended corrective actions.
