Job summary

ACV Auctions is seeking an enthusiastic Inspector in Charleston, SC to inspect vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease locations. You will document vehicle conditions, estimate repair costs, and support the sales team in cross-selling services.

The role emphasizes trust, transparency, and customer service while traveling to dealer sites. Requirements include 1 year in the automobile field with a customer service background, strong English communication, and the ability to work outdoors.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in the automobile field with customer service background.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to work outside in the elements for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
• Conduct inspections of vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease to detect damage and mechanical issues.
• Prepare and submit a report of vehicle condition, repair/replacement cost estimates, and related documentation.
• Help sales team upsell or cross-sell services and products.
• Interface with dealers to ensure client satisfaction and build relationships.
• Travel to dealerships and homes to inspect and write condition reports.
