Job summary

SMC Corporation in Minneapolis is seeking an Application Specialist to provide technical expertise and guidance to clients implementing industrial automation solutions, improving manufacturing processes and efficiency.

You will work with sales and engineering teams, deliver training, support CRM entries, and travel within the Minneapolis region.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and extensive automation experience; a company car and SIP are provided.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
Advanced industrial automation product and application experience with SMC or equivalent.
Experience with or knowledge of competitive products and applications.
Proven ability to apply and implement our newest high-tech products.
Extensive SMC application knowledge; broad experience with manufacturing processes (packaging, electronics, food, chemical, automotive, medical).
Proficient in CRM and ability to learn new programs.
Clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Identify customer specifications and regulatory needs; relay to engineers.
Provide continuous training to sales, customers, and distributors.
Deliver training sessions and workshops to clients' teams.
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to design and customize automation solutions.
Document sales activity in SalesConnect CRM.
