Job summary
Proconex is seeking a Lifecycle Services Engineer I to support installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, lifecycle management, and optimization of industrial automation systems. You will perform preventative maintenance, software installations, upgrades, and commissioning support while developing expertise under senior engineers.
This role requires relocation travel to customer sites and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, high-quality service and adherence to
Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent mix of education and experience.
- Experience with industrial automation systems and field service operations.
- Proficiency troubleshooting hardware, software, and networks.
- Experience with Windows operating systems and system upgrades.
- Customer-facing technical support or service experience.
- Ability to follow technical procedures and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary/secondary customer contact during field service engagements.
- Perform preventative maintenance and health assessments on automation systems.
- Troubleshoot automation, hardware, software, and network issues; escalate when needed.
- Install, upgrade, patch, and configure software per standards.
- Support migrations, version upgrades, and deployments in physical/virtual environments.
- Assist with project execution: setup, FAT, SAT, commissioning, startup.
- Identify aging hardware/software risks and assist with corrective actions.
- Prepare service reports and technical documentation per standards.
- Adhere to site procedures, cybersecurity standards, and QA requirements.
- Participate in emergency service and on-call support as required.
- Communicate risks and contribute to continuous improvement.
