Job summary

Waters seeks an Automation Servicer Engineer (ASE) to service BD Advanced Diagnostics instruments across a geographic region and nationally as needed. The role requires self-direction, remote work ability, and overnight travel on short notice.

You should possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related fields, with strong electronics, mechatronics, PLCs, and pneumatics knowledge; familiarity with LIS and IT concepts is a plus. Expect up to 50% travel and weekend on-call rotation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Electronic Technology, Computer Science, Biomedical or related discipline.
• Experience with electronics and electro-mechanical devices (Mechatronics), PLCs, pneumatics.
• Intermediate knowledge of networking architecture design and setup.
• Ability to discuss software upgrades with IT staff and lab leadership.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer needs and perform installations, maintenance, upgrades, and repairs on BD Advanced Diagnostics instruments.
• Collaborate to drive field service revenue through preventive maintenance and equipment moves.
• Schedule and complete system upgrades with customers; provide follow-up plans.
