Job summary

Automated Logic, a Carrier Company, seeks a Field Engineer to deliver durable building automation solutions. You will install, commission, and optimize DDC systems, troubleshoot complex projects, and train owners on system operation.

The role requires 2+ years in HVAC/building automation, IP networking, or PLC programming, plus a valid driver's license and willingness to travel. This position offers growth through hands-on leadership and end-to-end project ownership in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
2+ years of professional experience in HVAC, Building Automation, IT, or Industrial Networking with IP networking, Modbus, BACnet, or PLC programming.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
Ability to work at height and use ladders and motorized lifts.

Responsibilities

System Performance: Install, commission, and optimize advanced DDC systems, ensuring controls, sensors, and networks meet performance standards.
Proactive Problem Solving: Use technical judgment to solve automation challenges and mitigate project risks before timelines.
Technical Leadership: Train owners on system operation and partner with Project Managers to manage risks and improve execution.
Travel & Growth: Travel as needed and take end-to-end ownership of complex projects.
Project Integrity: Maintain accurate documentation and participate in project reviews to drive continuous improvement.
