Job summary

Westfalia Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Systems Support Technician (Controls Systems) to diagnose and support PLC-based control systems at customer sites. You will work with engineering and sales to deliver reliable automation solutions and ensure safe, efficient operation.

The role includes on-site and remote troubleshooting, on-call support, and collaboration with customers throughout installations and commissioning. This position requires travel and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 1–4 years of experience in industrial controls, automation, or electro-mechanical troubleshooting.
• Experience with field service, technical support, or industrial maintenance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot, and diagnose PLC-based control systems at customer sites.
• Modify and document PLC/HMI programs for material handling equipment.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support, including on-call rotations for emergencies.
• Inspect and validate control systems during service visits.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Sales to resolve technical issues and meet requirements.
• Process parts orders and support service-related sales activities.
• Complete service documentation accurately and timely.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Assist in production shop activities when not scheduled for field work.
