Job summary
Prime Controls, L.P. is seeking an Automation Technician for a highly travel-intensive role, performing troubleshooting, calibration, commissioning, and maintenance on industrial automation systems at client sites.
You will support instrument calibration, PLC/HMI work, VFD setup, and installation of new hardware, with frequent on-site work and direct customer interaction. Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with industrial controls, PLCs, instrumentation, and electrical systems, plus
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in industrial automation, controls, instrumentation, or related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation, control panels, and industrial electrical systems.
Responsibilities
- Travel to customer facilities to troubleshoot, repair, commission, and maintain automation systems.
- Read schematics and network diagrams to diagnose issues and understand installations.
- Modify PLC programs and HMI applications; diagnose and resolve control-system problems in the field.
- Coordinate with engineers and customers to ensure successful commissioning and support.
