Job summary

Progressive is seeking an auto damage claims adjuster to act as the main contact with customers, guiding and deciding the repair process from start to finish. You will manage your own workload in the field, collaborating with body shops and others to negotiate pricing and assess liability, with strong attention to detail and a passion for service.

The role is field-based, with a company car and regular driving within a defined territory in Manchester, NH and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of relevant work experience with one year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience.
• Associate's degree plus three years relevant experience with one year appraisal/estimations or insurance experience OR Bachelor's degree with one year appraisal/estimations or insurance experience.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle inspections, write estimates, determine total loss evaluations, and set clear expectations and timelines.
• Negotiate repair process with body shops.
• Document information related to the claim and make decisions in line with claims standards and local laws.
• Evaluate and handle claim payments and resolution of claims without payments.
• Review and determine validity of any supplement requests.
