Job summary

Progressive is seeking an auto damage claims adjuster in California. You will serve as the primary contact for customers, overseeing the repair process from start to finish, negotiating with body shops, and determining liability.

This field role includes occasional office reporting and a company car for assigned geographic area. Ideal candidates possess leadership, conflict management, attention to detail, and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• Four+ years of relevant work experience with one year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and compliance with driving standards/policies

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle inspections, write estimates, determine total loss evaluations and set timelines
• Negotiate repair process with body shops
• Document information related to the claim and make decisions per standards and laws
• Evaluate and handle claim payments and resolution of claims without payments
• Review and determine validity of any supplement requests
