Job summary

Progressive is looking for an auto damage claims adjuster to serve as the primary contact for customers, guiding the repair process from start to finish. You’ll manage your own inventory, collaborate with body shops, and negotiate repair pricing while assessing liability.

This field role includes occasional office reporting and a company car within assigned territory. Candidates should have strong leadership, conflict resolution, and customer service skills, plus at least four years of relevant

Qualifications

• Four years of relevant work experience with one year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience.
• Associate's degree and three years relevant work experience with one year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience.
• Bachelor's degree and one year appraisal/estimatics or insurance experience.
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and compliance with Progressive’s driving standards and/or policies.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle inspections, write estimates, determine total loss evaluations, and set clear expectations and timelines
• Negotiate repair process with body shops
• Document information related to the claim and make decisions consistent with claims standards and local laws
• Evaluate and handle claim payments and resolution of claims without payments
• Review and determine validity of any supplement requests
