Job summary

GAI Consultants Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Cultural Resources Technician 2 to support field projects across the Southwestern region. You will identify, excavate, and record sites, wash and process artifacts for laboratory analysis, and assist with post‑field laboratory tasks in accordance with federal and state archaeological standards.

A B.A./B.S. in Archaeology or Anthropology is required, with 1–3 years CRM experience preferred.

Qualifications

BA/BS in Archaeology or Anthropology required or demonstrated equivalent experience.
1–3 years CRM experience in North America preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Excavate, screen, and collect archaeological materials per federal/state standards.
Identify and record features and structures within project areas.
Document and map survey areas, testing locations, and excavations.
Complete field forms and record soil color using Munsell charts.
Carry out duties outdoors in varying weather and travel as required.
