GAI Consultants Inc. is seeking a culturally oriented Full-Time Cultural Resources Technician 2 to support field projects in the Southwestern region. Responsibilities include excavation, artifact processing, recording, and assisting with lab tasks in accordance with archaeological standards.

Candidates should have a BA/BS in Archaeology/Anthropology, 1–3 years CRM experience, and be willing to travel while operating outdoors in varying conditions. Pre-employment drug testing is required.

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. degree in Archaeology/Anthropology or related field; field school preferred.
• 1–3 years CRM experience in North America preferred.
• Experience with excavation, data recording, mapping and surveying.

Responsabilités

• Excavate, screen, and collect archaeological materials per standards.
• Identify and record archaeological features and structures within project areas.
• Accurately document and map survey areas, testing locations, excavations and resources.
• Complete field forms and record soil color using a Munsell chart.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and travel as required.
