Job summary

Qualifications

• Career focus on cultural resources fieldwork, archaeological investigations or related industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in anthropology or archaeology; field school experience preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and data entry; ability to document field data accurately.

Responsibilities

• Conduct phase one archaeological surveys including pedestrian surveys and shovel testing.
• Assist with excavation and trenching activities in Texas and surrounding regions.
• Collect and document field data using tablets and GPS devices; maintain detailed photo logs.
• Support preparation of reports, background research, and site documentation.
• Collaborate with project leads to ensure accurate data collection and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in fieldwork with mentorship from crew chiefs and safety adherence.
• Communicate findings clearly to project managers and team members.
