Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in anthropology or archaeology; field school experience accepted.
• Strong organizational and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; comfortable with tablets and GPS for field data collection.

Responsibilities

• Conduct phase one archaeological surveys including pedestrian surveys and shovel testing.
• Assist with excavation and trenching as needed within Texas and surrounding regions.
• Collect and document field data using tablets, GPS devices; maintain photo logs.
• Support preparation of reports, background research, and site documentation.
• Collaborate with project leads to ensure accurate data collection and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in fieldwork with mentorship from crew chiefs and teammates.
