Job summary

Covaris, a PerkinElmer Company, is seeking an experienced Field Applications Scientist for the Mid-Atlantic region. The role involves on-site training, remote sessions, and technical support for Covaris sample preparation workflows across genomics and proteomics.

You will conduct product demonstrations, lead pre-sales discussions, and collaborate with sales and R&D teams. Willingness to travel up to 70% is required, with strong scientific communication skills and a customer-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Master’s/Ph.D. in life sciences preferred; Bachelor’s considered with relevant experience.
• 3–5 years hands-on molecular biology lab experience recommended.
• NGS, proteomics, and DNA/RNA workflows familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site training and remote sessions for customers and distributors.
• Organize and execute on-site product demonstrations to support sales.
• Lead pre-sales technical presentations and customer education programs.
• Represent Covaris at trade shows and conferences; deliver webinars and demos.
• Troubleshoot assays, workflows, software, and instrumentation with customers.
