Covaris, a PerkinElmer Company, seeks an experienced Senior Field Applications Scientist (FAS) for the South Central region. Based in Texas or Arizona, this role supports post-sales training, product demonstrations, and pre-sales technical positioning to drive customer adoption.

You will train customers, perform hands-on demonstrations, troubleshoot workflows, and collaborate with Sales and cross-functional teams to translate scientific value into commercial opportunities.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or related life sciences preferred.
• 2–3+ years of Field Applications Scientist customer-facing industry experience.
• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on lab experience in molecular biology workflows.
• Foundational understanding of NGS, Proteomics, Genomics, and DNA/RNA/Protein sample prep workflows.

Responsabilités

• Lead post-sales customer training and technical education through lectures and hands-on sessions.
• Deliver remote training for customers and distributors as required.
• Independently plan, lead, and execute customer product demonstrations.
• Own demonstration projects from planning through execution to show value of Covaris solutions.
• Collaborate with Sales Territory Managers as senior scientific SME for customers.
