LEMO is seeking a Field Application Engineer to strengthen our American subsidiary in Rohnert Park, CA. You will support field applications, drive design-in with customers, and collaborate with sales and engineering across the central region.

The role requires a strong electro-mechanical background, excellent communication, and the ability to travel 40–50% to customer sites and events while delivering technical value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 10+ years experience in the electronic connector industry.
• Ability to interpret customer engineering drawings to identify manufacturing requirements.
• Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
• Willingness to travel 40–50% for customer visits and events.

Responsibilities

• Drive design-in of existing products and define new products and customizations with customers and internal teams.
• Identify technical requirements in customer applications and map to LEMO product features.
• Assist sales in defining mechanical, electrical, environmental and quality requirements for RFQ.
• Provide expertise on LEMO product lines and customization options.
• Select valid LEMO part numbers and build BOMs for samples.
• Develop technical system solutions and implement them at customer sites.
• Maintain close customer relations with technical decision-makers and demonstrate product value to sales and design centers.
• Act as technical interface/consultant on connectors and interconnect solutions.
• Present technical/market information to management to justify technology investments.
• Coordinate with pricing and quote teams for market intelligence.
