Job summary

Sun Recruiting is seeking an Application Engineer for our client. The role blends electrical engineering with field service, sales collaboration, and product development to deliver practical, field-ready solutions.

You will design, install, commission, and support systems in industrial environments, translating needs into actionable engineering outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Electrical Engineering, 5+ years in applications engineering or similar hands-on roles,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
5+ years in technical field, applications engineering, or similar hands-on experience.
Experience in oil & gas, mining, power generation, or heavy industrial environments is a plus.
Strong troubleshooting, writing, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop expertise in company products, technologies, and applications across industrial markets.
Translate customer needs into manufacturable system and product solutions.
Configure standard products and systems for application-specific requirements.
Design customized solutions using internal and third-party technologies.
Provide technical support throughout the sales and implementation process.
Create technical drawings, documentation, and training materials.
Support design, testing, installation, commissioning, and startup activities.
Assist field troubleshooting via on-site visits, phone, and remote support.
