This role sits at the intersection of engineering, sales, product development, and the customer, serving as the technical expert from concept and design through installation and ongoing support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
• 5+ years of technical field or applications engineering experience.
• Experience in oil & gas, mining, power generation, heavy industrial environments.
• Familiarity with sensor technologies and industrial monitoring systems.
• Knowledge of Modbus, 4-20mA, relay logic, and other industrial protocols.
• Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop expertise in company products across industrial markets.
• Partner with sales to understand customer requirements and propose solutions.
• Translate customer needs into manufacturable system and product solutions.
• Configure standard products to meet application requirements.
• Design customized solutions with internal and third‑party tech.
• Provide engineering calculations and analysis for product selection.
• Serve as primary technical contact for customers during sales and deployment.
• Create drawings, documentation, specifications, and training materials.
• Support design, testing, installation, commissioning, startup activities.
• Troubleshoot equipment in field or remotely.
• Provide technical training to customers and sales teams.
• Test equipment to verify performance against specs.
• Provide feedback to engineering on product performance and field issues.
• Participate in design and development of new products.
• Coordinate outside engineering resources as needed.
• Join sales on visits and technical presentations.
• Respond to RFIs and RFQs with technical input.
• Identify additional customer needs for future growth.
