Job summary

Molex is seeking a dynamic Field Application Engineer (FAE) in Fremont, CA to lead technical engagements and drive design-wins for high-speed copper products within the Datacom & Specialty Solutions unit. You will partner with customers and Molex teams to resolve design challenges across High Speed I/O, Backplanes, Cables, and related solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or related field
• 3+ years' relevant engineering experience with electronics
• Experience interacting with customers
• Experience managing and leading projects, prioritizing assignments and working independently
• Experience in Optics, High-speed Copper Backplane, PCIe, Signal Integrity, Mechanical/Thermal Modeling

Responsibilities

• Support customer engineering contacts and Molex sales to secure new design wins and a convertible Salesforce pipeline
• Establish strategic technical relationships with key engineering and SI contacts
• Resolve technical issues for design-in of High Speed I/O, Backplane/BTB/Storage Connectors/Cables
• Propose innovative solutions using Molex portfolio and assist account teams
• Share knowledge with other Molex FAE's in Infotech/Datacom space
• Coordinate with Product Management, Global Sales, Advanced Development, Signal Integrity
• Recommend improvements to interconnect systems and resolve customer issues
• Develop documentation and application notes for customers
• Create demos and customer-facing presentations on technical concepts
