Job summary

Sartorius seeks a Field Application Specialist in the Raleigh/Durham NC area with a remote work model to support customers through design, validation, and implementation of fluid management solutions.

The role emphasizes technical demonstrations, trials, and support across the customer journey, with travel >50% to engage external customers and new regions including VA, TN, and SC. A life sciences/engineering background and hunter mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Engineering or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of technical sales, applications support, or pre-sales in a scientific/technical environment.
• Hunter mindset with ability to identify and win new opportunities.
• Hands-on technical capability including demos, trials, and customer evaluations.
• Excellent consultative communication to articulate value to diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in CRM systems and structured sales processes.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage prospective customers, including new logos and whitespace opportunities, with Commercial to generate and qualify opportunities.
• Plan, execute, and manage technical demonstrations and trials to validate fit and accelerate adoption.
• Position solution fit, quantify customer impact, and address objections through technical selling and value-based discussions.
• Collaborate with Commercial to develop customer proposals and offers with technical expertise.
• Provide pre- and post-sales technical support to ensure customer adoption and smooth transition to Central Sales.
