Job summary

Sartorius North America is seeking a Field Application Specialist to support design, validation, and implementation of fluid management solutions in the Raleigh/Durham, NC area with a remote work model. You will assist sales with product design, positioning, demonstrations, and application development work while traveling to engage customers across the region and adjacent states.

The role requires a life sciences or engineering background with 3+ years in technical sales or applications support,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Engineering or related field, or equivalent demonstrated professional experience.
• 3+ years of technical sales, applications support, or presales experience in a scientific/technical environment.
• Proven hunter mindset with ability to identify, advance, and win new opportunities.
• Strong hands-on technical capability, including demos, trials, and customer evaluations.
• Excellent consultative communication skills to articulate value to diverse stakeholders.
• Proficient in CRM systems and structured sales processes; strong documentation.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage prospective customers, including new logos, to generate and qualify opportunities.
• Plan, execute, and manage technical demonstrations and trials to validate fit and accelerate adoption.
• Position solution fit, quantify customer impact, and address objections through value-based discussions.
• Collaborate with Commercial teams to develop customer proposals and offers with technical input.
• Deliver pre- and post-sales technical support to secure adoption and repeat business.
• Capture Voice-of-Customer insights to influence product portfolio and sales enablement.
