Field Applications Specialist - Bakery Equipment

A global leader in food-processing and packaging technology, is seeking a Field Applications Specialist with strong experience in bakery production equipment. This role blends hands‑on technical expertise, customer training, and process optimization across commercial bakery environments.

Responsibilities

• Analyze dough handling, sheeting, laminating, depositing, proofing, baking, and packaging workflows.
• Set up, test, and optimize bakery machinery at customer facilities.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and PLC-related issues.
• Deliver hands‑on training for production, QA, and maintenance teams.
• Assist with trials, product tests, and technical presentations.
• Provide clear service reports, recommendations, and improvement plans.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years working with industrial bakery equipment or food-processing machinery
• Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with equipment such as mixers, dividers, sheeters, laminators, depositors, slicers, ovens, and packaging lines
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
• Comfort working in fast-paced production environments
• Willingness to travel 70%
• PLC familiarity (Siemens or Allen‑Bradley)
