Job summary

AMF Bakery Systems Inc. is seeking a Field Electrical & Controls Technician to install, commission, and troubleshoot PLC-based control systems on our high-speed bakery equipment at customer sites across North America and internationally.

You will install, program, and optimize drives, sensors, and operator interfaces, train customers, and collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure safe, reliable production solutions. Heavy travel (~75%) is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field service experience in food/bakery/packaging
• 5+ years of electrical and mechanical experience on automated equipment
• Willingness to travel ~75% across North America and internationally
• Proficient with Rockwell and Siemens PLC systems

Responsibilities

• Install and commission AMF equipment at customer sites
• Inspect, repair, and maintain existing equipment
• Plan installation with pre- and post-visit reporting
• Submit accurate time and expense reports
• Coordinate with project teams for clear communication
• Provide training on operation and maintenance
• Advise on parts, upgrades, and services
