Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting is seeking an Application Engineer to solve complex technical challenges for industrial customers. You will work across engineering, sales, product development and the customer journey from concept to field deployment.

The role emphasizes electrical engineering expertise, hands-on field work, and clear communication with engineers, plant personnel, and business leaders. Travel is ~10% with occasional Canada/Mexico trips.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
5+ years of hands-on technical field, applications engineering or similar experience.
Experience in oil & gas, mining, power generation, heavy industrial environments.
Familiarity with sensor tech, industrial monitoring, electronics and network protocols.
Know-how of Modbus, 4–20mA, relay logic and common industrial protocols.
Strong troubleshooting, project management, and ability to communicate complex tech.
Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

Develop deep product and application expertise across industrial markets.
Collaborate with sales to understand customer requirements and propose solutions.
Translate needs into manufacturable system and product designs.
Configure standard products to meet specific requirements.
Design customized solutions with internal and third‑party components.
Perform engineering calculations to support recommendations.
