Job summary

Realm is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to be the technical point of contact for customers in field deployments across the United States. You will own integrations, onsite deployment work, and translate real-world needs into robust technical solutions.

You will embed with users, troubleshoot complex environments, prototype field solutions, and work with engineering to ensure reliability and security in mission‑critical settings.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software engineering or forward deployed / mission operations experience.
• Strong technical fluency and the ability to work closely with engineers—read, write, and debug code to build prototypes.
• Low ego, high EQ, and exceptional collaborative instincts in cross‑functional settings.
• Experience with enterprise, industrial, government, defense, or security‑critical products.
• Mastery of core development/infrastructure/DevOps tools (Git, Linux).

Responsibilities

• Spend ~25% of your time onsite with customers across the US.
• Shadow operators to understand workflows and integration requirements.
• Rapidly prototype tools and integrations in the field to validate ideas.
• Troubleshoot complex environments and ensure feasible deployments.
• Translate field insights into clear technical requirements for engineering.
• Lead all technical integration work including APIs and data pipelines.
