Job summary

Rebuild is building an operating system for restoration contractors to speed up estimates and improve margins after disasters. You’ll be the first forward deployed engineer, applying AI inside customers’ accounts, visiting disaster sites, and shaping solutions that fit real workflows.

You’ll own deployments, prototype account-specific improvements, and translate on-site learnings into company-wide priorities.

Qualifications

• Proven track record shipping production code at a startup.
• Full-stack development skills across backend, UI, and data plumbing.
• Ability to interpret customer needs and scope work from conversations.
• Comfort with ambiguity and independent problem solving.
• Experience building for mobile-focused users.

Responsibilities

• Own deployment and implementation from signed account to fully operational.
• Prototype and ship account-specific solutions quickly, then scale into the platform.
• Turn on-site feedback into product specs and drive roadmap.
• Collaborate across engineering, product, and customer success to fix contractor problems.
